I have always been a photographer from my first Polaroid Camera. This Polaroid below was cool because I had to release a switch which caused the bellows to pop out so I could take a photograph in black and white. The photo came out of the side with a pull and had to wait one minute for the photograph to develop. After the minute was up I pealed the photo off the developer for viewing.
Next I upgraded to this guy. It folded flat and also popped up to take a color photograph which automatically came out the front.
Indoor photography was with flash cube bar. One section would burn or flash while the shutter was open. Once you took five pictures you needed another flash bar. Crazy.
This next guy was cool because it was small and compact, but had to sent the film cartridge in for development. No controls, just point and shoot.
Finally to the big leagues. The Nikon FE with a manual or aperture priority setting and manual focus. Loading the film was tricky, if I failed to get the lead of the film into the take up roller correctly , the film never advanced for a new picture. I wouldn’t always know if I was shooting exposures or blanks until I got to the end of the 12, 24, or 36 shot roll and got tension on the rewinder lever as the exposed film retracted back into the film canister for development .
